Genealogical mapping
A map can shed new light on a genealogy or family history. For example, a map can graphically show the position of the villages in which your ancestors lived, highlighting the distances between them.
The map below shows the geographical area in which the villages of origin of the ancestors of an emigrant who moved to the United States in 1838 are located.
