Each search requires a specific study based on the archives available.
To clearly define the work to be carried out and its cost, we carry out an interview to gather the customer’s expectations, and then draw up a detailed estimate. This estimate is free of charge and without obligation.
At the end of the work and after payment of the balance, a detailed report of the research and results, together with reproductions of the documents found, are given to the customer in digital format. For family trees, the information is also transmitted in GEDCOM format. In the event of unsuccessful searches, the customer will be provided with proof of the research carried out and the gaps found.
Note: Family genealogists are bound by an obligation of means. He is not bound by an obligation of results. He must explain what sources he is working on, as well as any shortcomings (destroyed sources, etc.), and if applicable, why a search was unsuccessful. Consequently, he will do his utmost to obtain the expected results, and his fees will be payable in full in the event of failure as well as success.
